- Acting as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada in a leading case dealing with bias in administrative law: Richmond Farmland Society v. Richmond (Township), [1990] 3 S.C.R. 1213 (S.C.C.).
- Representing a client in connection with the statutory authority for Pharmacare and issues of ultra vires acts of a governmental organization: Associated Respiratory Services Inc. v. British Columbia (Purchasing Commission) (1994), 87 B.C.L.R. (2d) 70 (B.C.C.A.).
- Acting for tobacco companies to challenge the legality of the provincial government’s process of collecting tobacco tax by requiring wholesalers to pay the tax before actually receiving it from retailers: R.J.R. MacDonald Inc. v. British Columbia (1997), 49 B.C.L.R. (3d) 64 (B.C.C.A.).
- Acting as counsel in a challenge of certain immigration processes, resulting in an amendment to the relevant legislation: Lam v. Canada (Minister of Employment and Immigration), [1991] F.C.J. No. 1176 (C.A.F.C.T.D.).
- Representing a client in challenging the retroactive effect of amendments to provincial legislation (Gasoline Tax Act): Vancouver Island Air Ltd. v. British Columbia, [1994] B.C.J. No. 2492 (B.C.S.C.).
- Acting as counsel before the B.C. Environmental Appeal Board on an application to add a party as a "Responsible Person" on an environmental remediation order: British Columbia Railway Co. v. British Columbia (Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection), [2004] B.C.E.A. No. 6 (B.C.E.A.B.).
- Acting as counsel for a professional practitioner on a hearing before the Medical Services Commission as to alleged irregular billing practices.
