Chani J. Campbell is an associate at Edwards, Kenny & Bray LLP, joining EKB in 2005 after articling with the firm.

Ms. Campbell has a general corporate and commercial solicitor's practice and advises clients on business law matters including purchase and sale of businesses, corporate restructuring and company financing.

Representative Experience

  • Co-counsel for a number of corporate reorganizations including BC companies
  • Co-counsel for a federal corporation’s acquisition of an internet marketing division of a BC-based public company
  • EKB team member on a variety of corporate refinancings
  • Document analysis, drafting and legal research for a US$468,050,000 multi-jurisdictional securities offering

Professional & Community Activities

Ms. Campbell served on the University of British Columbia (UBC) board of advisors for the Andrew R. Thompson Program for Natural Resources Law and Policy. She is also a member of the Business Law, International Law, Natural Resources - Forestry Law, Real Property, and Young Lawyers sections of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), as well as the CBA Women Lawyers Forum.

Prior to being called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005, Ms. Campbell was a member of the UBC Law Team for the 2004 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the 2003 UBC/University of Victoria Moot Competition. Among her achievements, Ms. Campbell was the recipient of the following honours:
