Profile

One of the firm’s founding partners, Brenton D. Kenny, Q.C. is an associate counsel and senior solicitor at Edwards, Kenny & Bray LLP.

Mr. Kenny’s distinguished law career spans over 50 years. In 1969, he joined the partnership formed by Jack T. Edwards, Q.C. and John Bouck and helped to build EKB and its tradition of leadership and reputation for outstanding legal practice. In 1990, Mr. Kenny was appointed Queen’s Counsel.

Mr. Kenny has a comprehensive corporate and commercial practice and focuses on representing and regularly advising a few large enterprises with respect to the legal aspects of their many activities. He spends much of his time fulfilling those clients’ wishes that he be a “legal quarterback” for them.

Professional & Community Activities

Mr. Kenny has participated as a speaker at numerous Continuing Legal Education of British Columbia courses, sharing his wealth of experience on topics such as buying and selling businesses, and financial statements for lawyers.

Mr. Kenny is a former chairman of British Columbia’s tertiary care maternity hospital and founder of the charitable Students' Emergency Fund, a program that provides support and assistance for Vancouver inner-city elementary students facing emergency situations.
