Profile
David E. Turner is an associate at Edwards, Kenny & Bray LLP, joining EKB in 2006 after articling with the firm.
Mr. Turner has a civil litigation practice with a focus on contract disputes, employment law, family law and wills and estates litigation. He has appeared in the Provincial, Supreme and Appellate Courts of British Columbia.

Representative Experience
- Successful representation of an applicant in Judge's Chambers at the Court of Appeal, resulting in the appeal of the respondent being dismissed;
- Sought and obtained the dismissal of a summary trial application, ultimately resulting in an advantageous settlement for his client;
- Winning a multi day trial in a wrongful dismissal case in Provincial Court, obtaining the highest possible award in Provincial Court, and
- Litigation support in numerous cases at both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal level.
Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Turner is a member of the Employment Law and Civil Litigation sections of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), and also regularly attends Trial Lawyers of B.C. meetings. In November 2008, Mr. Turner was elected by his peers to the Executive of the Vancouver Bar Association for a two year term. He has also spoken at People’s Law School seminars on the Employment Standards Act and wrongful dismissal.Among his community activities, Mr. Turner recently ran in the Vancouver Half-Marathon in order to raise money for the homeless of Vancouver’s downtown eastside. Through a charity basketball tournament, he has also fundraised for the Kenneth Gordon School, which is a specialized school for children with dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities, and the Western Canadian Pediatric AIDS Society, an organization committed to helping children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Mr. Turner also plays in the Downtown Law Firm Basketball League, as well as captains the EKB softball and running teams.
