Robert G. Ward is a Queen's Counsel and senior litigation associate counsel at Edwards, Kenny & Bray LLP.Mr. Ward’s Vancouver commercial litigation practice emphasizes corporate and commercial disputes, products liability and aviation law, insurance matters, construction law and employment law. He has represented multi-national Canadian and U.S. corporations on various commercial litigation matters, particularly related to product liability. He has also coordinated and instructed counsel representing multi-national corporations in other jurisdictions.
Mr. Ward has extensive experience as counsel before administration tribunals, the trial and appellate courts of British Columbia and Alberta, and the Supreme Court of Canada. An effective negotiator, he is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution, having acted as mediator, arbitrator and counsel in various arbitrations and mediations.

Mr. Ward is a well-regarded speaker and has lectured at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Law, the Professional Legal Training Courts, the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Institute, the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), the Aviation section of the American Bar Association, and other organizations.Mr. Ward also served as counsel to the Labour, Justice and Intergovernmental Relations Committee of the Provincial Government, advising on proposed reform of the Builders’ Lien Act and other legislation.
Mr. Ward is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), Vancouver Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Canadian Defence Lawyers.
