The Queen’s Counsel designation is an honour conferred on members of the legal profession to recognize exceptional merit and contribution. Candidates are nominated by the public and selected by the Attorney General, with recommendations from an advisory committee that includes the chief justice of BC, the chief justice of the Supreme Court of BC, the chief judge of the Provincial Court, the president of the Law Society of BC, and the deputy attorney general.
