  • the Library Manager for EKB, Gillian Crabtree is responsible for providing cost-effective reference and research support, delivering in-house training, current awareness services, and managing the firm’s print and electronic law library collections.

    Gillian graduated in Legal Studies and Library Management from Capilano University. She joined EKB in 1999 following extensive experience working in federal, provincial and private law libraries. She is an active member of the BC and Canadian Association of Law Libraries, past president and a founding member of the Vancouver Association of Law Libraries, Co-Chair of the British Columbia Legal Management Committee’s Knowledge Management subsection; Professional Legal Training Legislative Research Course instructor and original editor of the B.C. Legislative Digest, published by the B.C. Courthouse Library Society. Gillian has particular expertise in legislative research and welcomes the challenge of locating the most obscure provisions. Friendly and approachable, she enjoys working with lawyers, students and staff at EKB.
