EKB’s Jindy Bhalla Awarded Designation of Queen’s Counsel

EKB is thrilled to announce that Jindy Bhalla, partner at EKB, recently received the designation of Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.). The Q.C. designation recognizes lawyers in British Columbia for distinctive merit and exceptional contributions to the legal profession who demonstrate professional integrity, good character, and excellence in the practice of law. Only 7% of practising B.C. lawyers can be awarded the Q.C. designation at any given time. Currently, there are 491 Q.C.s out of approximately 13,583 practising members of the bar. Jindy’s appointment continues the long tradition of EKB lawyers being designated as Q.C. Well done, Jindy!

“Lawyers play an important role in guiding clients through the justice system. Congratulations to each of these extraordinary lawyers and thank you for all you do for British Columbians and the legal profession,” said David Eby, Attorney General.

Jindy was called to the bar in 1984. A highly accomplished Vancouver commercial real estate lawyer, his experience includes all aspects of commercial real estate. Jindy is a charter director and past president of both the South Asian Bar Association of B.C. and the Association of South Asian Professionals, in addition to serving the South Asian community through volunteer work.
