Marie Aspiazu is an associate lawyer with EKB’s litigation group and maintains a broad litigation practice, with a focus on commercial, civil, employment, and administrative law.

Marie’s clients range from individuals to small and medium-sized businesses in an extensive array of industries, from utilities providers to non-profit organizations. In her workplace law matters, Marie is experienced at advising both plaintiffs and defendants. Marie has represented clients in the provincial, supreme, and appellate courts of British Columbia, as well as in various administrative tribunals, including the Employment Standards Tribunal and the BC Human Rights Tribunal.

Prior to joining EKB, Marie practiced general litigation and workplace law at a mid-sized firm and completed her articles at a national firm, both in Vancouver. Preceding her articles, Marie worked for two non-profit organizations in Vancouver, specializing in digital and public policy. Marie has participated in multiple proceedings at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and testified before the parliamentary committee reviewing the Copyright Act in Ottawa.

Marie is fluent in English and Spanish.
