Lauren Frederick is a Partner at EKB, with a regulatory and business law practice focused on financial institutions and commercial clients. She advises on transactional and day-to-day business activities, including commercial agreements, technology arrangements, privacy and data protection compliance, corporate governance, employment matters, and regulatory compliance.
Lauren has extensive experience advising credit unions on a wide range of operational and strategic matters. Her work includes mergers and collaborations, technology and software contracts, banking systems and digital banking contracts, privacy obligations, governance issues, employment matters, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Lauren works closely with clients to provide practical and efficient legal solutions. She takes a clear, business-minded approach to legal advice, helping clients address immediate legal issues while supporting their broader operational objectives.
Lauren has been with EKB since 2019, when she joined the firm as a summer articling student. She obtained her JD from the University of Victoria, where she received the Law Society of British Columbia Gold Medal.
