EKB Supports Odd Society Spirits in Producing Hand Sanitizer for Non-Profits

EKB is proud to support its client Odd Society Spirits in producing hand sanitizer to be donated to Downtown Eastside not-for-profit organizations.

This financial contribution by EKB and its staff and lawyers will fund the production of approximately 50 litres of hand sanitizer to be donated to a number of Downtown Eastside non-profit organizations, including Union Gospel Mission and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. Produced by Odd Society Spirits at cost, this donation will be used in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A true craft distillery, Odd Society Spirits is the maker of numerous award-winning spirits. Yet, when they saw the need, they took it upon themselves to use their expertise and facilities to produce much-needed hand sanitizer, using a recipe that is in keeping with World Health Organization guidelines. To date, they have donated more than 400 litres to community non-profits and produced 400 litres more for organizations and workers on the frontline. They are working hard to scale up production for both essential services and non-profits.

We are proud to have clients as community-minded as Odd Society Spirits. For our part, our lawyers are working hard to provide timely updates and analysis on the business impacts and legal implications of COVID.

We’re all in this together.
